Transformative healing can take place through journaling when emotions and thoughts are explored together. We use colour and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques to process through difficult times so we can flourish and tap into our natural resiliency. Join JakeJoy as she takes you through a journalling process that has helped her find peace and movement through personal difficulties and challenges faced over the last couple of years. JakeJoy is a professional artist and teacher and now a counselling therapist in training. She has combined her experiences and skills in order to develop a new journalling approach. "I can say this method has brought the value of journalling back into my life. I used to dread journalling, now I love it!" She wants to share her breakthrough method with you. ![]() . SKETCHBOOK - please bring Come with a new sketchbook. The larger it is, the more freedom of movement you have. But then you have to care for it. Find a place for it. Not be intimidated by all that space. If it is less than 6"x9" - too small! Make sure it has thicker pages so you can get them wet and not destroy the paper. 300g or 180lbs is nice, but you can work with a little thinner if you already have a sketchbook. DRAWING TOOLS - please bring Pen, pencil, markers or pencil cryons. Or small water colour set if you have it. Ruler. scissors. We will be drawing and colouring in our journal. Nothing stressful, don't worry. I will guide you through this portion so you feel inspired and relaxed. You will be guided through an uplifting, healing journalling process that is enjoyable and life altering! You are journalling about personal things - but in a way that is very different than any proces you might have tried before. The idea isn't about sharing personal information with the group. Rather, we are talking about the process. Sharing how the process works for us. Questions we have and trying different approaches. Yes but, what are we doing?? Drawing boxes. Colouring. Writing.
